Ratina Z is recognised as one of the worlds greatest horses of all time, along with Ludger Beerbaum Ratina Z won a team gold medal at the 1996 Atlanta olympics, team gold at the world equestrian games in the Hague in 1994, team & Individual gold at the 1997 European championships in CH-EU in Mannheim, Germany. Ratina Z also won the 1993 world cup final.

Ratina Z was not only an exceptional showjumper she is also a proven broodmare and mothered numerous international offspring. Ratina Z is sired by Ramiro Z and her performance as a competition mare and mother has earned herself a statue at Zangersheide stud were she was bred. As a brood mare Ratina Z bred numerous offspring, Acrobaat Z by Athlet Z, Aloha Z and Ambiance by Artos Z, Calipa Z by Cor de la Bryere, Carlos Z and Crown Z by Carthago Z, Comme Il Faut by Cornet Obolensky, Clever Z by Chicago Z, Grand Prix II by Goldfever, Invicto by Ruben O, Rex Grannus and Rex Z by Rebel I Z and Treasure Z by Dollar De La Pierre.
